so today is ash wednesday and i went out to dinner and ate Chili's Baby Back ribs. :o wait.. no eating meat on ash wednesday right? lol.
anyway! let me share a story about ash wednesday, because my doubt for religion was born one fateful ash wednesday some years ago. it was probably around 6 or 5 years ago, we were at church on ash wednesday and the father started satying some sermon about how everyother religion on earth was made up by and practiced by hypocrits and even went so far as to name a few religions and why so. i was livid after that sermon to say the least. and i made up my mind that day that i didnt want to belong to an association who damned people for being homosexual, or jewish, or buddist or anything! grr! i told my mom and she 'bout slapped me and we started going to church more. and i have honestly liek tried to ge in tune with Jesus and God and the Catholic church, but i just dont feel it. if i ever commit to a religion it would be to buddhism or something of the sort where it isnt realy so mucha religion as a way of thinking and seeing the world. <3
but whats funny is that when im around my christian friends or talking to someone down on their luck i always say things like "God bless" and "God will help you" and stuff because i know just how important beliefs in a religion can be to get people through hard times and give hope. <3

ok. so the scale lately has been running my life. AND it is my birthday week so i hit Disneyland yesterday, going out to dinner tonight, and who knows what the heck my friends have planned for Saturday night, THAT wrapped up with midterms blah! so i will not weigh in Thursday, I'm going to go two weeks without useing the scale so wish me luck!

Snow Fun
ahh! i had a wonderful time at the snow this weekend, even it started off really badly. there was TONS of FLUFFY NEW snow! ahh! and did you know if you roll a small ball of snow down a hill it acually DOES get bigger?! (and very heavy too!) and thats how made this snow man in the picture! yay! and like sledding was kinda hard because you'd just sink into the snow and walking and your feet would sink in to your knees, but it was beautiful! <3
plus we found a killer ramp and got some nice air (and hard landings) going off of it. <3 <3
eating we did much better than last time we went in january because there was a lot less food and snacks so i dont think damage was too high and walking up hill in the snow is an amazing workout and we where out there for 3 hours saturday and one 1/2 hours today. =] i am TERRIBLY sore but it was worth it!
thoi got NO homework done.. oops!!
OH! and did you heard Sean Penn's acceptance speech at the academy awards when he won for Milk? i loved it! he said something along the lines of "shame on you protesters who passed to ban gay marriage, and shame on your children! equal rights for all!" <3 YES!

why?
why the lack of updates?
honestly its because ill be sitting at my computer THINKING of the blog i will write and i honeslty think that i really did type it all out instead of going over it in my head! AHAHA! oh mans!
but i rly havent the need to update as much this past week because i wasnt hitting the gym as hard and often as is usual! it kinda sucked in that i didnt loose any this week, but i gained. apparently 4 pounds. tho it takes 3,500 unused calories to make up one pound of fat and i dont think i ate 14,000 calories over my usual intake! its impossible! that means i would have had to eat 2,000 more claories above my usualy calorie intake! pufft! oh well! as my co-worker pointed out "you gonna get your period soon?" and the answer is "oh crap! youre right!" xD
hmm. it'll be gone by next weigh in so i shouldnt be fretting.
OY! went to the gym yesterday and worked out my usual hour and a half and man am i SORE! i havent been sore in a while! its a crappy/awesome feeling! then last night as i was sleeping i moved my leg so my cat could sleep on me and i got a cramp in my calf! (i think its called a charlie horse?) OUUCH! so today my legs are dead.

Milk and Chicken
so my mom told me to buy like $18 worth of chicken on sale at stater bros as well as two gallons of milk after work. but today i stayed till closing instead of 9 so on my twnety min break i just ran across the shopping center to buy it and just walk back to work right?
AHH! carrying two gallons of water and like 6 pounds of chicken that far is NEVER a good idea! ahaha! nice arm work out tho. <3
and today at work, even tho it was a 4 to 10:30 shift, was the BEST DAY EVER! some little kid i was helping said "you look very wonderful and beautiful today." then turned to his mom "we are going to give her a tip right?" AHHHH! so dang adorable! my heart melted! cute children rock! thats one way a guy can win my heart! ahaha! oh man! ive been smiling about it for a while now. sure it was from a like a 9 year old but still good to hear.

today wasnt feeling as guilty about yesterday as i thought i would and have stayed a away from the cookies and have been eating well. school was closed today so i had to go to the small gym by my work and its just not the same! cant wait to hit the school gym on Wednesday! i am contemplating waking up early tomarrow to go to the gym at 6am... but yeah. 6am man! ahaha! ill see! deonding on what time i go to bed rly. =]

emotional eating strikes again...
oh mans! havent had an emotional eating binge in a WHILE but today it hit. i just ate like craaap. srsly, breakfast was ok... then i ate 2 sugar cookies, then went to the mall had some asian food plus a cream puff. got home and instead of a real dinner i had more cookies, some flan, a chunk of bread and later on that night a vietnamese dessert my friend brought me...
only 1 serving of veggies today and no fruit!
and i dont rly know why but it was just one of those "i kinda sad-ish days"
even tho it was fun as well.

today i ate kinda like crap and didnt drink all my water (tho around 7 i was dying of thirst and drank like 6 cups of water) but overall it wasnt such a bad day! (even considering that its Valentines day!!)
-i got to talk to Nat on Stickam for a short while that was fun.
-family came over and i played with the little kids/showed them off on stickam
-Ate awesome food.
-My gay asian called me up and we went out! : D
-saw "he's just not that into you" and LOL'd
-held hands and skipped merrily to our cars then wrote "K+A" in a heart on my windshield!
-made plans to hit up a gay club
oh what a wonderous day indeed!

rawr betches!
:D ahaha! no update yesterday because i thought my weigh in video would suffice! and im still dancing yo! man! 180.2! -.3 away from the 170s and never turning back to the 180's! YEAH! lol.
well yeasterday only soen 45 mins working out cuz then did the body composition test. and have i told ya the personal trainer was soo beautiful? lol. he had some nasty dread locks going on but rly pretty eyes! wah! AHAHA!
ANYWAYS! yesterday was a short day. i srsly came home, uploaded my video then passed out. went to bed at 9 and STILL had trouble waking up at 8 this morn. :D but toat felt nice. tho i still have nothign to do friday nights! Vince said he'd take me out.. then he canceled on me. Me and a couple friends were gonna walk around the outdoor mall with FREE HUGS signs because today is free hugs day.. but its raining..so one went to Disneyland and now im just chilling out at home. i think im gonna hit the gym in liek an hour because i am BORED!
so yes! im excitd fo next week!

oh happy days!
iunno i am in a good mood today! i guess its because school week almost over and i dont have to work tonight! yes!
i hit the gym today and did the same routine i did on monday and sorry too lazy to retype. except today i ran a mile in 9 mins. :D i really need to find my arch supports tho, because my arch is killing me towards the end.
special shout out to The Offspring for making such awesome music to run too! <3 "show me how to lie, you're getting better all the time la la lallal la! so dance *&^$er dance!" <- thats all i know of that song. XD
um eating is good. not the best. but my mom has been cooking and im not complaining! today she made chilies relleno which are green pablano peppers stuffed with cheese in an onion soup. omg! they were kinda yummy and not at the same time. too much cheese tho. :D
oh! i didnt take the belly dance class because i didnt realize you had to pay and i dont want to pay. lol. <3

The real Tuesday Update

ehehe! well today is a day i dont have time to hit the gym.. so i didnt! i also umm... kinda cheated today! DUN DUN DUUUN! i was lured in by the smell of sweet potato fries in the cafeteria today so i bought some and devoured them all! D: they were good, but left me feeling sick. oh! too much oil! lol. but yes. and for dinner i had a turkey burger my mom made, she brought it to work for me so i couldnt tell her to NOT pot mayo on it, but i was hungry so i ate it anyways.
i DID do one good thing today tho! i know actually crave water more and more and ended up drinking 8 water bottles, or a ful gallon, of water today instead of the usual 6. =O oh yum yum!
and my car is offically over run with water bottles i need to take to the recycling center!
oh ariana you are so silly!

these days just keep going faster and faster! didnt have timeto update after school or before work yesterday so heres how yesterday went.

is it bad that i rly cant remeber much of what happened? haha! it was waaay cold yesterday. like super cold! it hailed twice! but you know woke up early, went to school, then hit the gym. umm did pretty well at the gym. ilike mondays cuz i do weights! :D
bicep curl: 5 sets of 10 at 15 pounds. thats up one set from last week but i could handle it! :D
tricep extension: 5 sets of 10 at 35 pounds. mmmm... feel the burn.
shoulder press: 7 sets of 7 at 25. yargh! shoulder presses are annoying! somedays i can do it just fine and other days its harder.
chest press: 3 sets of 20 at 35 pounds. the last 10 were hard to do. i think all that indoor rowing has my shoulders and cest sore and stiff so i think ima lay low on the rower for a couple days.
cardio: i ran a mile! w00t! a full one, no stopping! :D and i did it in about 10 mins which is great! i really need like invest in a watch with a timer. it would be a lot more helpful! of course i did a 5 min warm up before and 10 mns after or walking/ cooling down.
i also went on the bike for about 30 mins but siffered with som difficulties in my right hip. it likes to play games one me and be like "OH! i think im popping out!" and sure enough i kind of get a sharp pain in the hip jiont as i feel my femur slowly moving out. it actually hasnt done that in a while.last time it happened was when i was in the airport in Beijing and we were sitting around waiting for our bus and out of no where my hip popped. my annual physical is coming up and im going to bring that up to the doctor. but did a few stretches and it felt a lot better and isnt bothering me at all.
what else did i do yesterday? umm.. i came home and wanted ot take a nap but the neigbor was hammering away so i went to work very sleepy. luckily it was a slow night and the time went by ok. i srsly just got home, left a pile of clothes leading to my bed and slept. oh how nice!
and OMG! this mornign we woke up tp frost! it was crazy! ive never witnesses frost on my car! at first i thought my wipers were broken becaus they left my windshield very blury but it was ice! thank goodness i hadnt planted my veggie garden a couple weeks ago or else they would have died!

Blisters
opps! forgot to update yesterday cuz i got home from work watched some funny videos with my bro and CRASHED!
anyways here is how sunday february 7th went down:
had a shift leader meeting at work at 8 am so had to wake up early and free breakfast! i ate french toast, yeah not to good of a choice but it was yummy. then after sitting tru 2 hours of that i hit the gym for aout 45 mins and it was great heres what i did:
treadmil: 5 min warm up, then a full 10 min jog at about 4.5 mph. got my heart rate at about 171-180 and it wasnt really that hard to do! what bothered me wasnt me getting tired, but my feet began to hurt. then i did 5 mins walking fast on a lvl 10 slope followed by a 5 min cool down. so 25 mins all togethe ron treadmil.
Stairmaster: i went in doing 10 mins like i usually do but died at 8 mins 11 seconds. lol. i could not go on. and a first! i know now what its like ot have your face actually DRIP sweat! yucky!
indoor rowing: did a good 15 mins, felt nice.
tho there was problem! the rowere is giving me blisters on my hands and my new shoes decided to give me some nice ones on the back of my ankles! OH JOY! :D
but eating wise was kinda meh, after teh french toast i had like 1/2 a cup of pasta and a string cheese and my spinach and banana smoothie then for dinner i had cow tongue tacos. omg! yum yum! <3 my aunt across teh street had a little fiesta and i did ok at not eating everything! (tho i did have a piece of pie) but then worked for 6 hours so i think my calories evened out. :D
GASPERS! my friend got a tattoo without telling me so i could be there! jerk!
oh! and sad news! i didnt get an interview for the fitness challenge at school. ariana is slightly sad because i know i would have kicked ass! ahaha! oh wells! onward! to the Survivor fitness challenge! (and hopefully i make it!)

it was great day! went to work, didn't spill anything or hurt myself! <3 only problem was that my bro ate my soybeans that i eat as my afternoon snack and i was hungry! but my bro got me a 30 day pass to 24 hour fitness and i went after work. i HATE our gym. its so small and smelly and gross. but it was awesome to go workout on a friday! :D
cardio only today!
stairmaster at lvl 7 for 10 whole mins! holy heck! it was tough! my face was dripping in sweat, yuck! lol. got heart level around 180.
treadmils (no!) lol but sustained a jog for 10 mins, heart rate around 175 then walked for another 5 mins.
indoor rowing for 15 mins. felt nice.
burned about 300 calories and only a 45 min workout instead of over an hour. felt good tho!

Weigh in day!
yes yes yes! lst week was at 186 this week at 181.2. i know, its kinda of a scary jump but i think my body has learned to cope with my new water consumption and that with good eating a exercising ive done well. i am excited. now for next week! it will probably be a slower loss but im fine with that as long as i am in 170's by my birthday! :D
anyways! today's food!
breakfast: banana and spinach smoothie (i was late and couldnt make oatmeal in time!)
lunch: togos turkey sandwich with cheese. no mayo. extra tomatoes and lettuce and pepperchinis! :D left a nice chunk uneaten too!
dinner: little slice of home made pizza and some mexican rice (that tasted burnt) and an apple.
snack: home made cinnamon roll.... they were home made! i HAD to eat one! lol!
gym stuff!
Bicep Curl: 4 sets of 10 at 25 pounds. im still kinda sore from monday so they kinda hard!
lat pull down: 4 sets of 10 at 70 and one set of 7 at 85. yeah im definatly sore and stiff.
tricep extension: 5 sets of 10 at 35. oh my! that got my heart beating and some sweat!
chest press: 3 sets of 20 at 35 pounds. oh! i feel the burn! little bit easier than monday!
shoulder press: 6 sets of 7 at 25. not as tiring as monday! lifting boxes at work is working!
then i ran\walked around track for 40 mins. abou 2/5 of the time running other 3/5 walking fast. got a side cramp so couldnt run enough. i need to stretch better.
also went on the bike at level 8 for 21 mins!
and i dont take the elevators anymore! so i walked up over 15 flights of stairs today! :D
anyways! today's food!
breakfast: banana and spinach smoothie (i was late and couldnt make oatmeal in time!)
lunch: togos turkey sandwich with cheese. no mayo. extra tomatoes and lettuce and pepperchinis! :D left a nice chunk uneaten too!

drained.
today i had a hard time getting my heart rate normal it was up at 110 even tho resting rate is around 80. my mind was calm but my body wasnt. i was also sick and had no appetite but made myself eat my meals and things got better when i went to the gym. then talked crap out and now i am 5x better. =D

stuffs
i am very in love right now with The Fray's new song "you found me." gonna get their new album tomarrow! YESSS! just thought ya outta know.
now a story about my day:
was gonna wake up at 6 to hit the gym, but man was it hard to get up this morning! and i didnt do it instead slept in an extra hour and was late to class. yay. i am officially in love with my stress management class. and i don't wanna sound like a stressed mess (because according to the book i am not) but its a great class and there's meditation!! oh how i missed meditation! that and the instructor is a crazy old Kook who was lecturing then dodged behind his desk and popped out in a gorilla mask. <3 classico. i also read the chapters on nutrition and exercise in the book and learned many helpful things and realized what i have been doing so far is what i should be doing! so that was wonderful! will share my findings in one of my videos soon. =] but yeah school, got home at 3, went to work at 4 got home at 9:30. so since i skipped a morning work out, no time to work out today, but thats ok with me. i ate wonderfully today.
exercise for the day: none. but i did work for 5 hours and its a job that has ya walking (and sometimes running) back and forth.
food:
morning: banana-spinach smoothie and 1/2 cup oatmeal.
lunch: sandwich, 3/4 cup soybeans, apple
dinner: salmon, rice w/ veggies.
snacks: 1/2 a pita with hummus (my weakness!)
im going to start writting in detail what i eat soon enough but wanna get a hang of daily blogging and taking note ofmy work outs first. plus the book i was reading has a wonderful section on having a food diary and i need to read into more detail so i do it right.
oh boring day you have bow ended and it is time for sleeps.

creepy chick is creepy...
i kinda made a friend in bio class names jessica. only problem is that well, shes kinda creepy. first day of class she just talked a lot to me and i just smile and nod, and pay attention to the teacher and i'd look over and shes staring at me like i should say something or something...but i don't like to talk druing class. then she follows me to my next class all the time talking about stuff i quite don't understand and i try to pay attention but man, she talks a lot and very fast so by 30 secs i have completely blanked out so i go into smile and nod mode once more. and she rly doesnt let me talk, when i do she swings the convo over to talk about herself again and man-o-man. its been interesting! she even invited me to her house to study but were not even 2 weeks into the semester so like...yeah. what? and she wants to do lunch or dinner and its like woah WOAH! things arent even going this fast with my boyfriend lady, so yeah back off a little plz? you're kinda creepy. =]
and that is my story of the day. how do you deal with people like this? ahaha!

i hit the gym today and w00t! felt nice! im starting to record what i do so here ya go!
weights:
Bicep Curl: 4 sets of 10 at 25 pounds. not that bad
Tricep Extension: 1 set of 10 at 25 pounds, was too easy so then did 4 sets of 10 at 35 pounds. HOO HA!
Lateral Pull Down: 1 set of 10 at 70 pounds then 3 sets of 10 at 85 pounds. this one i felt the burn. i also kept forgetting to breathe! xD
Chest Press: 3 sets of 20 at 35 pounds... why is the burn in my arms not my chest?! lol!
Shoulder Press: 4 sets of 7 at 25 pounds. by far the hardest things to do ever! D:
Cardio:
went around the track for about 33 mins and in that time ran(jogged) a mile in 13 mins nonstop! w00t! last week i did 1/2 mile nonstop then got a side cramp. xD
StairMaster at level 7 for 10 mins. i was dead. yargh. 100 calories burned tho!
Bike at level 8 for 21 mins, another 143 calories burned.
yay!
and as for eating well morning i had my banana and spinach smoothie that i drank while driving down the freeway and ate half a cup pf cereal while walking to class.. um yeah.. i have aproblem with fitting time in for breakfast in the morn.
lunch i had an apple and sandwich with low fat cheese and turkey. my carrots werent good. bleh!
i got home an at 4 dried apricots and a left over hot wing and waiting for dinner now wich will be salmon. yum!
now off for a nap then dinner then work! :D
and that is my story of the day. how do you deal with people like this? ahaha!

Happy February
today was in interesting day indeed.
my friends/manager asked me to trade shifts with her so i worked mornings today and she took my nights. turns out she wasnt being nice, she was just off doing something late last night and didnt get home till 11... am. HAHA! oh she's so silly!
anyways! i opened and had to wake up early on a sunday (WHAT!?) all was going well till i spilled half a bucket of water down the front of myself getting my face and shirt soaking wet as well as my phone which now makes funny nioses when i txt! oh why must misfourtune always follow me at work! im gonna be so happy when i graduate and finally have a job where there is no risk of me spilling anything on myself or the floor and when i dont have to always use a step ladder to remind me that yes, i am indeed short.
but fun times! i actually got the chance to watch the super bowl and football isnt that boring!?! i was surprised! haha! poor cardinals. at least they gave us a good game even if they didnt win!
and as for my exercise today, umm none. unless you count the 3 hours i spend cleaning and prepping the store to open. i work up a sweat and lift heavy things!
but eating wise.. ugh. lets just say im tired of pizza! no more! yuck! bleh! **chews on carrot**
breakfats and lunch were good an in my calorie range but hot wings, pizza and ice cream.. umm no. gotta loose this wek tho so heres to monday!
